Dear Cabrini Families,
As a community of faith, we join our school families at this time of profound grief and sorrow as we offer up the repose of the soul of our student, Ava Jabczneski. In a special way, we lift up the Jabczneski family in prayer as they mourn the passing of their beloved Ava: daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and classmate. She was a lesson in what courage and faith can look like, even amid challenge and illness. There are no good words to offer that can mitigate the sadness, but our belief in the Resurrection in which we participate through baptism, provides us a hope that this world cannot provide. Moments like this remind us of the importance of holding one another in compassion and the precious, unique, and sacred gift of life.
Please be assured of our prayers for you and especially the Jabczneski family, so that in our mourning, we may feel the Lord’s healing presence and support of a faith-filled community.
May Christ, who is our light in times of darkness, bring peace to all who mourn. Eternal rest grant unto Ava, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Ava’s soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
