St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School

Our Catholic School Community

In 1947, St. Frances Cabrini parish opened its doors to the faithful from the rapidly expanding city of Allen Park and surrounding downriver communities. The parish was created just one year after Mother Cabrini's canonization in July of 1946, thus making us the first in the nation, and according to our records, first in the world, to claim St. Frances Cabrini as their patron saint. Within just a few years, the parish began a grade school in 1949, and eleven years later, the high school opened its doors in 1960. Over all these years, St. Frances Cabrini school proudly continues to provide a faith-filled environment in which to educate and form our young people.

Our school community, which is centered around our belief in Jesus Christ, inspires our parish to invest in our children, so they may continue to bring service to those in need through the first-class educational environment they receive as a student at Cabrini so they may excel at every stage of their development. From Preschool through 12th grade, Cabrini Catholic School provides the spiritual, educational, and formational foundation necessary to live as a disciple of Christ.

Living Out Our Faith

We are here to help bring the children of our community closer to God.

Our Catholic Faith is not something we simply talk about at Cabrini, it is the center and purpose of our existence. The manner in which we teach, lead, learn, and work together derives from our love for God and our love for each other.

It is our institutional responsibility, as educators and students of the Catholic Faith, to live out the Standards Christ has given us, so we may become what God intends us to become for Him and our Cabrini community.

Through daily prayer, weekly Mass, and the education, promotion, and demonstration of our Catholic morals and virtues, we live out our Faith and help our students to see Christ through the daily interactions we have with each other.

A Message from our Pastor

Fr. Tim

Fr. Tim Birney

As the pastor of a parish with a school as its primary ministry and allocation of resources, we are able to positively help direct the future of our Church and the wider society in which the Church resides. It is a blessing and a challenge. Both we embrace and take as a sacred trust in our partnership with the families who entrust their children to our care.

Through the intercession of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, may we be blessed in this mission.
