Today was the battle of Country vs. Country Club and the grade school students chose between cowboy hats and cowboy boots or the preppy look to show their school spirit. 🤠🏌️‍♂️

Today, in English 9 class, students utilized their critical thinking and interpretation skills by analyzing paint samples to identify the mood and imagery. Students were provided with a sample containing seven variations of color ranges. Their goal was to work in groups to explain how each of their color samples represent different emotions or help visualize events in a text. It's a great day to be a Monarch! 💛💙🦁

Today we were blessed to have Bishop Monforton join us for Mass. He also helped present scholarships given out by the Catholic Foundation and spent time visiting some of our classrooms.

Today, the 9th and 10th grade students had a great opportunity to give back to the community that gives so much to us! Some students helped out at Gleaners Food Bank, where they prepared bags of food that will soon be given to those in need. Another group went to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, where they stocked shelves with delicious food and put together racks full of donated clothes. The final group went to play bingo, give manicures, and play board games with some new friends at Bellaire Assisted Living. We ended the day with Adoration, reflection, and confession with Fr. Stephen. It was a perfect way to end our day of service and it's a great day to be a Monarch!
