The Cabrini Apprentice Program (still in infant stages) will be officially rolled out in 2025.  The program is centered around providing Cabrini students with an internship/apprenticeship experience with local business partners.  The mission of the program is to challenge students to develop, refine, and employ the necessary skills needed for successful community leadership.  With participation in a variety of working environments, students will have authentic opportunities for growth in their discipline, accountability, character, teamwork, and self-confidence.

The program is designed to be a four-year program.  The first two years students will take part in career exploration, leadership workshops, and assist with various jobs around our campus.  These first two years are designed to lay the foundation of transferable skills needed for a successful transition to the apprenticeship/internship assignment.  During the last two years of the program, each student will be assigned to an apprenticeship/internship with one of the CAP partnering local businesses.

Admittance to the program requires an application and an interview.  Students will be required to maintain a specific GPA and behavioral record to join and stay in the program.  Although these apprenticeship/internship assignments are not paid, students who qualify for financial assistance from the AOD will be allowed to apply for CAP financial aid.

We are looking for CAP individual sponsors, as well as business sponsors and business mentors.  The individual and business sponsors will provide the financial support for the program.  The business mentors will provide the educational/leadership experience for the program.  Business are able and encouraged to become both sponsors and mentors.
